On February 16, 2024, a post titled "Dressing an 18-year-old like this" was posted to a popular South Korean online community forum.

The post included two GIFs of LE SSERAFIM member Hong Eunchae. The first GIF is from a fancam of the girl group performing "No-Return (Into the unknown)" on "Music Bank."

In the GIF, Hong Eunchae is seen wearing a tight bodycon dress with a tulle in the back to cover her behind. She paired the look with lacey knee-high socks and Mary Janes.

The second GIF is from a viral moment in 2022. The idol is seen wearing a matching set of a tube top and a mini-skirt. She paired the look with a jacket and pink boots. In the GIF, she is seen happily turning around.

This outfit first went viral in 2022, with people commenting that it was inappropriate for her to wear such a look. At the time, Eunchae was only 15 years old.

The issue with both looks is how tight and short they are. Hong Eunchae was born on November 10, 2006, meaning she is 17 years old internationally and a minor. In Korean age, she is 18 years old and still considered a minor; the legal age in Korea is 19.

While international fans have repeatedly questioned Source Music's choice of outfits for the young idol, it appears Korean fans no longer have an issue with Hong Eunchae being dressed in short dresses and skirts. Instead, people commented on how pretty she looked in her outfits.

Many commented that she sometimes gets styled in outfits that hide her "golden proportions," but she actually has long legs and arms that are compared to IVE's Jang Wonyoung.

Others noted that if she hated what she wore, she should not have become an idol in the first place. As idols are usually dressed in flashy outfits that show off their figure, they believe wearing such clothes "cannot be helped."
