In a broadcast, 2NE1 Sandara Park shared that she once hated Lee Hyori after a misunderstanding that happened when she was still active in the Philippines.

On February 20, the media outlet Spoen wrote in an article the misunderstanding Sandara Park and Lee Hyori had once, before becoming close.

2NE1 Dara Once Ignored By Lee Hyori?

In a show, Dara started by claiming that she was a big fan of the former Fin. K.L. and solo artist, even when she was still a student in the Philippines. In the same country, she first built her career as a singer and actress under the name Dara.

Due to her love for her, she decided to give her a gift just like any fan and delivered it from the Philippines to South Korea.

"When I saw Lee Hyori enjoying melon in an entertainment program, I thought melon was a rare fruit in Korea. So I brought melon from the Philippines to give to Lee Hyori."

Although she had a hard time delivering it, she was so excited after Lee Hyori's mother received it in her stead.

"I couldn’t give it to her at the concert hall, so with the help of my fan club members, I visited Lee Hyori’s house and personally delivered the melon to her mother.”

However, this love will turn to hate after Sandara Park debuted in 2NE1.

According to the star, she came to hate her for a moment due to a misunderstanding that happened when she was still a rookie.

"After meeting her on 'Family Outing,' the first show we did together since our debut, I followed Lee Hyori after filming and asked for her phone number. I sent her a text message 5 or 6 times, but I didn't get a reply."

Lee Hyori, Dara Clarify Misunderstanding

After coming to hate her, Lee Hyori who became aware of the story clarified:

"That's not possible. Even though I don't usually reply, I always reply to my juniors."

Shin Dong Yup, who has known Lee Hyori for a long time, also disagreed, saying:

"She's not the type to do that. Maybe the last number was wrong or there was a misunderstanding."

However, Dara clarified that she was not thinking about it anymore, expressed her undying affection for the icon, and invited Lee for a drinking session.

"I want to learn how to drink alcohol from Lee Hyori."

Meanwhile, Sandara Park made her debut with the group 2NE1 in 2009 and released her first solo mini album in July last year.
