While he receives rave reviews for his coolness and handsome looks, overwhelming comments comparing him to THIS Korean superstar attracted garnered traction.

SHINee Taemin Compared to Cillian Murphy After Hilarious Coincidence

In the Irish actor's photos, he was spotted walking at the airport to attend a film screening in New York. He wasn't looking at the camera since he appeared to be finding something inside his bag.

While his international fans were pretty chill at the comments, his fan post on X was suddenly filled with K-pop stan accounts, expressing their surprise that his photos were taken by an idol fan site.

But among them, there is a noticeable influx of SHINee Worlds/Shawols, the fandom of SHINee in the quoted retweets, piquing the curiosity of other netters.

Apparently, the photos send Shawols into a frenzy due to a crazy coincidence that happened recently with SHINee Taemin.

In the K-pop idol's airport photos on his way to Japan on the 19th, the same scenario was captured by fans wherein Taemin was seen rummaging inside his bag — thinking that he lost his passport once again!

Looking at the photos of the two, it can't be denied that they share the same vibes!

SHINee Taemin Acknowledges Similarities With Cillian Murphy

Meanwhile, it was not only recently that people noticed these similarities but it has been going on for a decade, with fans sharing their comparison photos from time to time.

Not only their cute clumsy side were alike, but fans also emphasized that some of their features like the cheekbones and lips as well as their powerful aura were similar.

 While some refuted this claim, netizens clarified that it is not about them having the same visuals, but rather the vibe that seeing Cillian Murphy will automatically remind a person of Taemin.

In fact, even the K-pop idol himself was aware of this and it seemed like he was not bothered by it, but rather honored.

After seeing his photo, he said:

"Cillian Murphy. Someone said I look like Cillian Murphy."

On the other hand, born in 1976, Cillian Murphy is an Irish actor who has been dominating the entertainment industry since 1996. At the time, Taemin was only three years old.

After Murphy's debut, he dominated Hollywood with his most notable works, "28 Days Later," "The Dark Knight," and "Oppenheimer."
