15 K-pop Groups Which Stans Miss the Most: 2NE1, GFRIEND, IZ*ONE, More!

In an online community, netizens gathered to discuss which inactive groups in the K-pop industry would they like to see come back.

Here are the 15 K-pop groups which fans want to see return!

1.    2NE1

November 25, 2016, was a very painful day for K-pop fans and Blackjacks, as this is the disbandment date for iconic second-gen powerhouse group 2NE1. To this day, many fans are still hoping for the quartet to officially reunite.

2.    GFRIEND

GFRIEND's disbandment will forever be both a shock and a mystery to many, as the sudden dismemberment was abrupt. It was also a heartbreaking incident, as fans have come to see the group grow since their debut in 2016 to becoming one of third-gen's leading girl groups.  

3.    IZ*ONE

Everyone was well aware that IZ*ONE is a project group from the start, which means their contract has a limit. The group saw immense success in South Korea and Japan, to the point of higher-ups considering a possible contract extension.

However, it still hurt when the group followed through with their contractual disbandment on April 29, 2021.  

4.    T-ARA

T-ARA is a notable name during the second generation and has made waves across the Korean music industry with songs such as "Roly Poly," "Sugar Free," and "Bo Peep Bo Peep." However, the members have left MBK Entertainment and the group has been inactive ever since.

5.    9Muses

9Muses stopped their activities on February 11, 2019, when agency Star Empire released an official statement declaring the group's disbandment.

6.    f(x)

The persisting hiatus of f(x) once sparked a myriad of forums online, and fans are still waiting for them ever since.

7.    Block B

In the forum, netizens also mentioned how much they miss seeing Block B being active in the music industry.

8.    SISTAR

SISTAR's disbandment was a shock to many fans. However, the "Summer Queens" are still shown to be close to one another. This 2024, K-pop is currently being graced by its sub-unit SISTAR19, who just came back with a brand new bop called "NO MORE (MA BOY)."

Many were bummed out with what happened to B.A.P, including their unfortunate disbandment.

10.  I.O.I

I.O.I has also established themselves as a household name in Korea and fans are still missing them since their disbandment on January 29, 2017.

11.  4Minute

4Minute's disbandment was announced by Cube Entertainment on June 15, 2016.

Wanna One may be a project group who also had a limited contract, but their legacy lives on through their music and memories with fans.
