2024 FTISLAND LIVE ‘HEY DAY’ IN KUALA LUMPUR Wraps Up in Success

South Korean rock band FTISLAND released their latest album 'SAGE' last year, embarked on their 'HEY DAY' tour, which was organized by Qew Communications Sdn Bhd there after, and finally arrived today in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, greeted by a packed house!

Lead vocalist Lee Hong Gi, drummer Choi Min Hwan, and bassist Lee Jae Jin delivered powerful performances, greatly pleasing their fans. The enthusiastic response from the fans and the numerous groups singing moments moved Lee Hong-Gi to exclaim, 'Oh my god! You guys are amazing!'

Initially prepared to bid farewell after the encore, Lee Hong-Gi was met with fans' reluctance to leave, prompting him to perform an acoustic rendition of 'Paradise' and promise the fans, 'Until next time, we must meet again!'

FTISLAND, who hadn't performed in Malaysia for many years, caused a frenzy upon the announcement of their tour stop in Malaysia, as tickets sold out immediately upon release, demonstrating their incredible charm. They kicked off the concert with songs like 'Siawa Theory', 'Falling Star', I Hope', and 'Freedom' igniting the crowd's excitement instantly prompting Lee Hong-Gi to interact with fans at the edge of the stage.

Spreading Cheer with Malay Greetings: Connecting with Fans on a Heartfelt Level

After a round of energetic singing, Lee Hong-Gi asked the fans, 'Are you all having fun? We are having a blast too!'

Each member took the opportunity to greet the crowd in Malay saying 'Sudah lama tak jumpa'(Long time no see), & 'Apa khabar' (How are you?), & 'Rindu kami tak?' (Do you miss us?).

The fans responded with enthusiastic cheers, and Lee Hong Gi, known for his outgoing personality, boldly proclaimed, 'I am a crazy man, and we are all going crazy together!'

Choi Min Hwan also remarked, 'Some say the air conditioning in this the venue is cold, but it doesn't feel like it at all, it's actually quite hot because of your enthusiasm!'

Lee Jae Jin added, 'I always give my all during performances, but tonight, I'm giving 150% of my energy!'

Lee Hong Gi also mentioned how it had been 12 years since they last met Malaysian fans, 'I've been waiting for this moment for so long, I really miss this place!'

Overwhelmed by the fans' enthusiasm and multiple groups singing sessions, Lee Hong Gi couldn't help but exclaim several times, 'Oh my god! You guys are so crazy, so amazing!'

He even captured the moment on his phone, indicating how much he was touched by the fans warmth.

Promising to Meet Again in Winter

Towards the end of the concert, after performing 'Sage', Lee Hong-Gi teased the audience, saying, 'This is the last song for today'. Of course, the fans wouldn't have it, immediately chanting, 'We want more!'

Lee Hong-Gi jokingly responded, 'I said this is the last song for our first meeting, we will meet again!'

He then continued with performances of 'Rising Star', 'Beautiful', and other songs, expressing, 'Coming here this time, I feel like everyone has grown up. I'm sorry, there are many more songs I want to sing. Let's make a promise, we'll have a new album next, and as usual, we will hold concerts in both summer and winter. So, there will be another concert, we will meet twice this year, will you all come?'

Upon hearing this, the fans erupted with excitement. Lee Hong-Gi repeatedly promised to and meet again, and after concluding with 'Primadonna' dedicated to the fans, they continued to shout for an encore. Initially planning for a group photo with the entire audience, Lee Hong Gi ultimately couldn't resist the fans' earnest pleas and accompanied by the background music of 'Paradise', delivered another heartfelt acoustic performance. All members then shook hands and bowed to the audience, concluding the concert on an incredibly emotional note.
