LE SSERAFIM Huh Yunjin Shares New Post on Weverse

On March 11, 2024, Huh Yunjin took to Weverse to celebrate the end of the group's "EASY" promotions.

She commented that waiting for their comeback date felt like a long time, but the three weeks of promoting "EASY" passed by in the blink of an eye.

She talks about how she grew since the group's debut. Initially shy, her voice has now grown louder. She added that she noticed the fans' voices have also grown louder and how she sees herself in them.

However, it was the following portion that earned the LE SSERAFIM member backlash.

In her post, she commented that she is still lacking and has so much to learn. She added that she will make countless mistakes and countless redemptions, acknowledging that the path to perfection is a lifelong battle. Huh Yunjin tells FEARNOTs that she will keep trying, falling, and getting back on her feet.

She added that there are things she can and cannot say; she wants to be able to share this process with the fans. She says this in the hopes that her fans will have the courage to continue trying, and so that in the future, both she and FEARNOT can grow into the versions of themselves they dreamed of.

While her post was touching for fans, people slammed the idol for her tone-deaf post. Many were upset that Huh Yunjin's post was devoid of any direct apology or acknowledgement of her Starbucks scandal. Previously, the idol was slammed for drinking a Starbucks drink on her way to IU's concert venue on March 9.

Her alluding to making mistakes and continuing to learn and grow from them was seen as an indirect acknowledgement of her mistake, but it was not enough for fans to forgive her. While some speculated she could not directly apologize for drinking Starbucks, others refuted this. It was noted that Jake from ENHYPEN, who is also under HYBE Labels, personally apologized to fans for drinking Starbucks via Weverse comments.

Currently, Starbucks is the center of a worldwide boycott. The company has been accused of supporting the genocide in Palestine. While Starbucks has stated they are neutral and do not have any political affiliations, the company was slammed for suing Starbucks Workers United after the union shared pro-Palestinian sentiments on social media.
