BABYMONSTER Sets Record For Highest 1st-Week Sales with 'BABYMONS7ER' in Hanteo Charts
The septet is currently promoting their newest album "BABYMONS7ER" and title track "SHEESH," which were released both on April 1. The influence of their rise on the charts created a massive following for the group and fueled their momentum.
For its first-week sales record, BABYMONSTER broke the highest score, which was recorded from April 1 to 7. According to Hanteo, the album managed to receive a total of 401,287 sold-out albums. This achievement set a record among girl groups who achieved the highest album.
The feat was also an essential step up for BABYMONSTER, as the numbers have solidified their status as the first girl group in Hateo history to attain the accomplishment among any girl group debuts. On social media platform X (Twitter), fans congratulated the septet.

In other news, BABYMONSTER will make an appearance on "Knowing Bros," the super popular variety show of JTBC. According to Korean news outlets, the girls will guest on the show on April 13, indicating their first-ever appearance in a variety show.
YG Entertainment also announced that BABYMONSTER would be engaging in numerous promotions including comeback stages, guesting on YouTube channels, and radio programs. It also added that they will be traveling across Asia for Summer Sonic 2024.
The agency also revealed that the determination of the members has been reflected and that more content was inbound.
"The members' determination to repay fans for their love has been reflected," YG shared. "We have a variety of other content that we have not yet released, so please look forward to it."
