On April 17, netizens established an online thread titled, "Apparently, JYP is Debuting A New Girl Group."
The author posted a mysterious photo, which appeared to be the new trainees under JYP Entertainment, and was accompanied by a caption saying, "Babies are so cute."

"It's confirmed that they will be a four-membered group, and Park Jinyoung personally picked the members," OP shared. "Their concept would be similar to miss A."
OP continued, "They won't have intense-sounding songs, but songs that are easy to listen to. They said that their song would sound like LE SSERAFIM's 'EASY' if we were to compare with the currently released songs."
"They are planning to make their debut in January 2025," OP stated.
Korean netizens were less than happy with the post and directed their frustration towards JYP Entertainment for coming up with a new act instead of focusing on ITZY and NMIXX.
