fromis_9 member Chaeyoung has opened up about her feelings on the girl group's inactivity.

fromis_9 was the first girl group to be signed under HYBE Labels after the corporation bought Pledis Entertainment. While many thought this was a good sign for the group, they believed their previous label, Off the Record Entertainment, mistreated the group. However, they were soon proved wrong.

And it appears the fromis_9 members have noticed it as well.

During a recent live stream, fromis_9's main dancer Chaeyoung spoke up about the group's lack of activity.

She stated that she wants to change her photo on Weverse, and she wants the group to be as active as soon as possible so that she can change her profile picture to a teaser image. It appears thinking about the group's lack of releases hit her hard, and she stated that she really wants to get back to activities soon.

She then questioned why fromis_9 was the only HYBE Labels group to not be active, saying, "Why are the only ones who have to wait a long time to be active? Why only fromis_9?"

The idol then commented, "It's so sad."

Chaeyoung also commented that the group has a fan base as well, the Flovers. She stated, "I have Flovers too. I have fans too. We have Flovers too..."

The idol then expressed her resolve to meet fans with their current schedules, saying, "But for now, since we have events, I will meet Flovers then and recharge."

Following the live streams, fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to trend the hashtag #fromis_9DeserveBetter and #PLEDIS_TREAT_FROMIS_BETTER. Fans are demanding the girl group be given a comeback soon, and that their current company, Pledis Entertainment, should treat them better.

For reference, fromis_9's last comeback was back in May 2023 with their first studio album, "Unlock My World," and the lead single, "#menow." Their last musical release was the single "Love Me Back" as part of the OST album for the Naver webtoon, "Operation: True Love." The song was released in October 2023.

This means it has been over a year since the girl group's last comeback.
