Starship Entertainment, the agency behind the rising K-pop group IVE, has taken swift action in response to a concerning development.

A threatening post directed at one of IVE's members, Jang Won-young, has prompted the agency to ramp up security measures and seek legal recourse.

In an official statement released on May 9th via their social media channels, Starship Entertainment revealed the unsettling news.

The agency disclosed that a post threatening the safety of Jang Won-young had surfaced on a community forum the previous day. The post, which included specific details regarding the purported threat, has been promptly reported to the authorities.

Expressing their commitment to the safety and well-being of their artists, Starship Entertainment asserted their determination to ensure swift action.

The agency has urged law enforcement to conduct a thorough investigation to identify the individual behind the menacing post. Additionally, they have reinforced their security personnel and are reassessing security protocols for various aspects of their artists' lives, including travel routes, office premises, and accommodations.


"We have requested swift investigation and protection for the artist's safety, and we plan to take legal action as soon as the identity of the individual is revealed. To ensure the safety of our artists, we have reinforced professional security personnel and are reevaluating security measures for their travel routes, the office building and accommodation," stated a representative from Starship Entertainment.

Emphasizing their proactive stance, Starship Entertainment pledged to remain vigilant against any future threats targeting their artists. They affirmed their readiness to respond resolutely and legally to safeguard the safety and well-being of IVE members and other artists under their management.

Despite the unsettling incident, IVE, which includes Jang Won-young, continues to actively promote their latest release, "IVE SWITCH," with the title track "HEYA." The group remains focused on their music and performances amid the heightened security measures implemented by their agency.
