The granddaughter of Shinsegae chairman, Annie Moon (also known as Moon Seo Yoon) has reportedly been removed from the line-up of THEBLACKLABEL's girl group.

On May 10, Xsportsnews released an exclusive report concerning the line-up of the THEBLACKLABEL's upcoming girl group. According to the report, chaebol heiress Annie Moon has reportedly failed to make it into the line-up of producer Teddy's upcoming girl group.

Annie Moon is the granddaughter of Lee Myung Hee, the chairman of one of South Korea's largest conglomerates, Shinsegae. She is also the daughter of Jung Yoo Kyung, the president of Shinsegae Department Store, and the sister of Shinsegae Group Chairman Jung Yong-jin. Her family is worth approximately $1.27 billion USD.

Previously, it was rumored that Annie would be part of this new group, which is also expected to include American child actress and model Ella Gross, and renowned dancer Bailey Sok. However, it was recently been stated that Annie Moon will not be making her debut with the two, and has been booted from the line-up. It is unknown whether she is still a trainee under the agency.

Back in February 2024, photos of trainees under THEBLACKLABEL sparked a frenzy on social media. At the time, THEBLACKLABEL refused to comment on whether Annie Moon would debut as a member of the company's new group. In an exclusive statement to JTBC news, they simply said "We will reveal details at a later date."

THEBLACKLABEL is currently preparing for the debut of their first girl group in the first half of this year, now without "Shinsegae's granddaughter" as a member of the line-up. It is currently unknown when the girl group will make their much-anticipated debut. As of writing, the members of the girl group, as well as their official name and debut schedule, has yet to be released.

Teddy, known for producing successful girl groups like 2NE1 and BLACKPINK under YG Entertainment, is currently heading THEBLACKLABEL and is gearing up for the launch of his new "Teddy's girl group." Currently, THEBLACKLABEL houses artists such as Jeon Somi, Taeyang, Zion.T, LOREN, Vince, R.Tee, and Bryan Chase.

The label also houses actors Park Bo Gum and Lee Jong Won.
