B1A4 Baro Latest Star To Join Cast Of 'Reply 1994'

Reply 1997 was last year's smash hit drama that centered around teens in the southern Korean city of Busan and the rise of K-Pop fan culture.

For the second installment, set three years prior and in the capital of Seoul, an all-star cast is preparing to make another big impact on the small screen.

B1A4's agency WM Entertainment announced on Friday that one of the members of the boy band, Baro, has officially confirmed he has accepted a role in the upcoming TV show.

Korean actress Go Ara and actors Jung Woo, Yoo Yeon-seok and Kim Sung-kyun will also star in the program's second season that will follow the lives of the young characters who were born in different parts of the country, but all end up living in Seoul.

CJ E&M, Reply 1994's producer, announced the teen drama will premiere in September with shooting commencing in July after all final casting decisions have been made.

Baro, the rapper of his group and who makes up the 'B1' in their name for being the only member with type B blood, was discovered by a WM Entertainment representative on the Korean social networking site Cyworld. He was praised for his rapping and beatboxing skills in addition to his singing talent.

Fans of B1A4 and Reply 1997 are looking forward to seeing him take the next step in his career by acting in the new television show.
