ADOR has recently intensified its legal efforts to protect NewJeans' rights amid escalating online harassment and ongoing disputes.
The agency announced on November 17, 2025, that it is rigorously monitoring and taking strict legal action against malicious online posts, including fake news, privacy invasion, and deepfake crimes targeting the group. ADOR reaffirmed its commitment to fully safeguarding the artists' rights and supporting their professional activities. The company is cooperating with authorities to pursue criminal complaints and urges fans and the public to report any infringement of the artists' rights.
This renewed focus on protection comes after a series of legal victories for ADOR, including a decisive court ruling on October 30, 2025, that validated the exclusive contracts between ADOR and NewJeans. The Seoul Central District Court confirmed that ADOR held no breach of contract, rejecting NewJeans' claims that the relationship of trust had irreparably broken down. The court upheld a prior injunction restricting NewJeans from undertaking independent activities without ADOR's consent, which continues to restrict the members from promoting or signing with other entities independently.
The ruling marked the end of a long, contentious dispute between ADOR and NewJeans' members, who had sought to terminate their contracts amid disagreements over management, especially after the former CEO Min Hee-jin's dismissal. Despite these challenges, ADOR presented evidence of ongoing management efforts, including album releases, scheduling tours, and securing advertising deals.
Following the court decision, several NewJeans members announced their return to ADOR, with Haerin and Hyein officially resuming work under the agency in early November. Minji, Hanni, and Danielle also expressed intentions to return, although negotiations with ADOR continue. ADOR emphasized that it remains dedicated to supporting each member's career growth and ensuring their rights are protected as the group moves forward.
This recent announcement of increased legal actions against online harassment highlights ADOR's broader strategy to not only assert its contractual rights but also shield the artists from damaging external influences that could affect their careers and well-being.
Overall, ADOR continues to uphold its position as NewJeans' legitimate management and defender of their rights, responding firmly to both legal disputes and the digital challenges faced by the group in the evolving entertainment landscape.
