Grigor Dimitrov, the 22-year-old Bulgarian tennis star dating Maria Sharapova, told The Sun in an interview last month that dating his girlfriend has brought him a lot of attention.

"You're going to get attention everywhere, so you have to be ready," Grigor Dimitrov said.

"It's part of the job."

Grigor Dimitrov's statement left many tennis fans wondering if he's dating Maria Sharapova for publicity and attention.

The Bulgarian tennis star also made headlines after dating Serena Williams last year and getting caught in a feud between her and Maria Sharapova over remarks made about past lover.

"There are people who live, breathe and dress tennis. I mean, seriously, give it a rest," Serena Williams said in a recent interview, indirectly referencing Maria Sharapova.

"She begins every interview with 'I'm so happy. I'm so lucky' - it's so boring. She's still not going to be invited to the cool parties. And, hey, if she wants to be with the guy with a black heart, go for it."

But Maria Sharapova didn't let Serena Williams' comments slide so easily.

"If she wants to talk about something personal, maybe she should talk about her relationship and her boyfriend that was married and is getting a divorce and has kids," Maria Sharapova told reporters, responding to Serena William's initial comments about her relationship with Grigor Dimitrov, her ex-boyfriend.

Maria Sharapova was targeting Serena William's relationship with coach and rumored boyfriend Patrick Mouratoglou.
