American Horror Story Season 3 Casting Reveals Jessica Lange, Francis Conroy Character Names, Filming Spotted In New Orleans
With "American Horror Story: Coven" currently filming in New Orleans for season 3, both Jessica Lange and Francis Conroy's character names have been revealed thanks to recent casting news.
Jessica Lange, who has been with "American Horror Story" since its inception, will play a character named Gwen, while Francis Conroy will play Ruth.
According to Carter, the show is currently seeking actresses to play younger versions of both characters (in their 20's).
Given that casting is only just beginning for younger version of Ruth and Gwen in season 3, the theory is that they will only be featured in flashbacks, and probably will not be prominent.
Will we get a glimpse of Gwen and Ruth entering the Coven?
Meanwhile, "American Horror Story" tops the field for Emmy nominations, earning a massive 17 nominations and beating out "House of Cards," "Game of Thrones," and "Saturday Night Live."
Lange and Conroy will be joined by Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Lily Rabe, Evan Peters, Emma Roberts, Taissa Farmiga, Sarah Paulson, and Gabourey Sidibe.
Meanwhile, filming is underway in New Orleans for season 3, with the cast and crew already being spotted in various location around the atmospheric area to recreate "American Horror Story: Coven."
Jessica Lange just passed for the trifecta. It's like American Horror Story summer camp up in the French Quarter. #nola
