Lee Hyori continued, "From the beginning, we didn't plan on having a glamorous wedding. We both wanted to get married when our families were together having a meal together."

And, "Even from a while back, I wanted to have a small and quiet wedding. Sang Soon and his family agreed with my wishes so we got married without having a wedding. I wanted this day to be very special with him and our family members since it is a day that I only want to have once in my lifetime."

Lee Hyori concluded, "To those who wanted to be there to congratulate us, thank you so much even just for the thought. I am posting this here since I can't personally deliver the news to everyone. I'm going to be happy."

It has been reported that their families have not yet met, meaning they are not married yet. It has also been reported that they are planning to marry on September 1.
