The members of MYNAME have signed on as ambassadors for an important suicide prevention campaign in South Korea.

The 2013 Love Life Night Walk is a 33 kilometer volunteer-operated walk in Seoul to help raise awareness about the serious issue of suicide.

South Korea currently has the highest suicide rate in the world and the pains of depression and failure are far-reaching among the citizens - even including famous celebrities and public figures.

MYNAME released a statement on Wednesday about their participation in the campaign. "We think that people feel lonely more often these days because there is less communication with family. That's probably why there are more stories about suicide," the group commented.

"The 'Love Life Night Walk' involves walking throughout the night until the sun comes up and symbolizes the hope that comes through darkness."

The five idols will join the other participants at Kyunggi University's Gwangyo Park on September 10 for the second annual event. The walk will last approximately six hours.

The MYNAME members explained, "Everyone will share stories and feelings they haven't been able to before and we hope that it is a time for people to realize how precious life is."

MYNAME will work along with TV Road Suwon Broadcasting for the 2013 Love Life Night Walk next month to help raise awareness for this sensitive, but very important issue.
