LG announced LG G2 release date will be September 12, it will be carried by Telcom operator Verizon. Rival AT&T rumored to launch by September 13. Android Central disclosed the information regarding LG G2's released date. LG G2 release date will be preceded by Apple's iPhone 5S release date on September 10 two days ahead.

The LG G2 is available in two variants - 16GB and 32GB internal storage. It has 2GB of RAM exclusive of a non-removable 3,000mAh battery. It also offers a 13MP LED flash camera with a 2.1MP front-facing camera.

The G2 boast of a 5.2-inch full HD LCD display, 1920 X 1080 resolutions, with 424 pixels per inch. It runs on QualComm Snapdragon system on a chip (SoC) with a 2.2 GHz CPU quad-core, and operates on 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS, with updates for 4.3 readily available in the next upcoming weeks after release date.

LG's G2 is expected to be the most user friendly smart phone to date, according to LG executives. It included a rear-mounted volume control button which has been earlier rumored as a fingerprint sensor. LG incorporated learn-from-the-user oriented applications such as AnswerMe, Plug & Pop (a variation of the Plug and Play PC feature) Guest Mode, Quick Memo, QuickRemote and QSlide . What is AnswerMe? It is an auto-answer call featur, that answers a call if the phone is held up to the user's ear. Plug & Pop displays a menu of relevant or frequently used applications once a headset is plugged-in. Guest Mode is created for non-G2 users or owners.

LG G2 has been allegedly accused of copying Samsung's Galaxy S4 features, wherein the only difference is its shell casing. On the other hand, Apple's 5s is expected to be a humble 4-inch display, inclusive of a 64-bit A7 processing chip, its usual dual LED flash camera lens and a fingerprint sensor among its expected edge over its competitors.

The release date is yet to be confirmed by LG, if true it will truly be an aggressive act form the third largest smartphone manufacturer, that will hopefully be an advantage rather than a disadvantage following Apple 5S release date.
