HTC One Max Release Date In USA Next Month? Confirmed Sprint Launch For HTC Phablet?

The HTC One Max release date in the USA is likely to come next month, in October. A Sprint release date has been confirmed for the HTC One Max phablet by a rather reliable tech source.

AndroidAuthority says its sources have confirmed that the device will be released sometime in October, The Christian Post reports, suggesting that the phablet will be available in the USA next month.

However, Latinos Post reports that the HTC One Max phablet may even be available as early as this month, and may hit the market within a few weeks, based on a leak from a German website Mobile Geeks.

The dependable @evleaks tweeted out a few statements announcing the phablet's Sprint release yesterday. The site confirmed that the HTC T6 that has been showing up in various leaks is actually the One Max.

"HTC One max confirmed as retail name of the T6," tweeted @evleaks. "HTC One max is Sprint-bound."

The HTC One Max specs rumors and photo leaks have shown the device featuring a fingerprint sensor, which was recently debuted on the new iPhone 5S by Apple at a press event yesterday as well.

One of the recently leaked images specifically shows the HTC One Max handset with the back cover, showing off the fingerprint sensor on the device, The Christian Post reports.

Other rumored specs for the device include a 5.9-inch display with 1920x1080 resolution, the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor which clocks in at 2.3GHz, 2GB RAM, a 4-ultrapixel camera, Boomsound dual front-facing stereo speakers, and a 3,3000 mAh non-removable Li-poly battery, according to Android Police.

The HTC One Max will be the company's first product in the phablet market, The Christian Post reports.
