Ben Affleck was paired with Rosamund Pike, who was cast a little over a week later as his wife, Amy, the missing person. Rosamund Pike took the part in a fairly heated race between A-list movie stars like Charlize Theron and Natalie Portman.

Other “Gone Girl” casting rumors include Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, Carrie Coon, Kim Dickens, and Patrick Fugit.

“Gone Girl” is being produced by Reese Witherspoon and Bruna Papandrea, along with Leslie Dixon. Shooting is set to start in the fall.
