The "Dumb and Dumber" Sequel is a definite project. It will feature the lead stars Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels as well as the Farelly Brothers for directorial duties. They even added Laurie Holden of "The Walking Dead."

The Sequel was picked up by Universal after Warner Bros. abandoned the project. There were too many issues between the film outfit and the actors, specifically Jim Carrey.

Jeff Daniels has actually confirmed the project in an interview with Jimmy Fallon at his late night talk show. When shown a picture of Jeff and Jim in the original Dumb and Dumber, Fallon asked: "Are these guys coming back?"

Daniel confirmed that Jim will be back "It'll be great to work with Jim, He's one of the best we've got." The Farelly brothers as Daniels said "Everybody will be back." He still has a cautionary "I'll believe with when I'm actually staring at Jim Carrey" but he all but confirmed. On the script: "I have seen the script. It's hysterical. "We're middle-aged. We're not pretending we aren't. And we're still that stupid."

The sequel will is set for a 2014 release date, a full 20 years after the original. It now has the working title "Dumb and Dumber To." They will also add new members to the cast. The latest is Laurie Holden from "The Walking Dead" fame. Holden will play Adele Pichlow, the well-off but ambitious wife of a doctor who is up to no good and who plans to use Harry and Lloyd to cover her tracks. The Farrellys wrote the script with Bennett Yellin and Mike Cerrone from an earlier draft by Sean Anders & John Morris. The Farrellys produce with Red Granite's Riza Aziz and Joey McFarland along with Bradley Thomas and Charlie Wessler.

"Dumb And Dumber To" hopes to be as funny as the original, which some consider a modern classic. The Farellys have not been lucky as of late. Their last projects were met with harsh criticism and lukewarm audience reception.
