Killer hornets terrorize China, stinging nearly two dozen victims to death. The killer hornets might include the largest species of hornets in the world, the Vespa mandarinia. The aggressive killer hornets injured hundreds of people with severe stings.

According t to the city government of Ankang, deaths from the killer hornets all happened in the last three months. Local media reports are identifying Ankang, China, as the epicenter of the killer hornet attacks.

City officials have confirmed that, since July 1, the hornets terrorize China leading to the 19 deaths and nearly 600 other people who have been seriously injured by the killer hornet attacks. A total of 583 people in the central Chinese area have been stung.
Ankang city officials say that 70 victims remain hospitalized after suffering severe killer hornet stings.

One of the victims who was hospitalized after being attacked by killer hornets last week, Chen Changlin, told the state-run China Youth Daily, "I ran and shouted for help, but the hornets chased me about 200 meters, and stung me for more than 3 minutes."

Chen Changlin was fortunate. The hornets terrorized and attacked a nearby woman and a child who came running and screaming towards Changlin. The two victims died of the killer hornets' toxins.
