Pokemon X and Y are just around the corner, and several Pokedex updates have been leaked, including a new Mega Evolution!

The Pokemon special called "Pokemon: Origins" has aired in Japan, and in addition to two hours of solid entertainment, it also revealed a new Mega Evolution for Charizard, called Mega Charizard X!

"When Charizard holds a Charizardite X, it can Mega Evolve into Mega Charizard X! This item can be obtained only in Pokémon X," says the official description.

"Unlike Mega Charizard Y, Mega Charizard X changes types when it Mega Evolves. It changes from a Fire and Flying-type Pokémon to a Fire and Dragon-type Pokémon."

As more Mega Evolutions are revealed, it is quickly becoming clear that Pokemon X and Y could have separate Mega Evolution entries for the Pokedex, much like Mewtwo X and Mewtwo Y.

Knowing this, fans will have to seriously consider which version to purchase.

In addition, a leaker on Instagram has been leaking images from his/her game review copy of Pokemon X and Y, and it turns out a new Pokedex entry is available Fletchling.

Rather than directly evolving into Talonflame, Fletchling evolves into Fletchinder first at lvl. 20.

Quilladin: "It relies on its sturdy shell to deflect predators' attack. It counteracts with its sharp quills."

Furfrou: "Trimming its fluffy fur not only makes it more elegant but also increases the swiftness of its movements."
