Singer-songwriter Roy Kim may be back in the US to finish up his studies, but that doesn't mean he can't give his fans in Korea a special treat from time to time.

As part of the soundtrack for the new tvN sequel teenage drama Reply 1994, Roy Kim released the song "Seoul, Here."

The acoustic track is a remix of the theme to MBC's hit drama The Moon of Seoul and played during a special episode of Reply 1994 on October 11.

"Roy Kim recorded the song before leaving for the United States," explained one of the 20-year-old's reps. "The song suits Roy Kim who has become an icon for acoustic music."

Fans who heard the track on TV won't have to wait much longer for it to drop. "The digital single will be officially released on October 18," continued the rep. "It will be a surprise gift for fans who have been wondering how Roy Kim is doing in the States."

Reply 1994 will also hit the airwaves on that day, exciting many viewers who were big fans of the 2012 drama Reply 1997.
