Nexus 5 release date is still unconfirmed, though rumors suggest that it may be unveiled this Thursday,  during a Google Play event, alongside other new products from the internet giant such as the Nexus 10 2 and the Android 4.4 KitKat.

Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy S4's release happened several months ago and until now, it is still one of the strongest products in the mobile market, together with its counterpart, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition.

Samsung Galaxy S4, despite being one of the first flagship smartphones to arrive early this year, still has top notch hardware specifications. The US model of the Galaxy S4 is powered by Snapdragon 600 processor, perfect enough for multitasking and gaing. Furthermore, the battery is packed with 2600mAh and a 13 MP rear camera.

On the other hand, the rumored Nexus 5 is expected to come with the more powerful sibling of Samsung Galaxy S4's Snapdragon 600 processor. As reported, Nexus 5 may be equipped with Snapdragon 800 from Qualcomm, which could provide awesome gaming performance. Moreover, the upcoming Google smartphone may have an 8MP camera with a feature called Optical Image Stabilization, aka OIS.

Samsung Galaxy S4 is equipped with one of the best displays, as posted on Gotta Be Mobile. As the report reads, "Its 5-inch 1080p display with 1920 x 1080 resolution at 441 pixels per inch is simply stunning and offers fantastic quality when it comes to photos, videos, text, web, you name it."

Meanwhile, rumors and leaks suggest that Nexus 5 have similar display as that of the Galaxy S4, with a  5-inch screen with 1080p display and a 1920 X 1080 resolution at 441ppi.
