'Man of Steel 2, Batman Vs Superman' – Wonder Woman Will Be In the Movie? Jaimie Alexander, Olga Kurylenko Are Rumored Candidates

After months of speculation brought about by top secret casting calls by Warner Bros, it has been reported that Wonder Woman will be a part of the Man of Steel sequel!

The rumor site Schmoes Knows was first to break the news. This was the same site that first broke the news of Michael B. Jordan taking the role of Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch in the "Fantastic Four" reboot.

The sequel to Man of Steel, which has the working title "Batman Vs Superman" will also be directed by Zack Snyder. He was the director of "300" and "The Watchmen" as well as the first "Man of Steel."

Henry Cavill will reprise the role of Clark Kent/Superman (he hasn't been officially called Superman yet) and Ben Affleck was tapped for the role of Batman.

The source of the Schmoes Knows report is someone involved with production.

Another actress connected to the Man of Steel sequel is Jaimie Alexander, recently seen in Marvel's "Thor: The Dark World" as fierce lady warrior Sif. Was the Sif role an audition to play the most iconic female superhero in history? That question was raised in the recent Comikaze Expo. In a one-on-one interview with Forbes at the event, her answer is still vague:

"I'm a huge fan of Wonder Woman. I really think if this is the closest that we're ever going to get to Wonder Woman, then I'm proud to play Sif. I hope that other comic book entities can learn a lesson from Marvel in how to execute a female character the way it should be done. ... I really would like to one day see a Wonder Woman film or Wonder Woman character, but until it's done with class, I'd rather it not be done."

It has been confirmed that she met with DC people, but she never mentioned what it was about. Was it a possible offer for a role? Is it for Wonder Woman or Batman's love interest? Maybe a villain? Here's what she says about the meeting:

"Being in the comic book world, we know a lot of the same people at DC and Marvel, so we hear a lot of things, but it's all speculation right now. But I would absolutely love that [Wonder Woman appearing in one of the upcoming films]. Thankfully and gratefully, I'm appreciative to the people who ask my opinion of the character, and that's been pretty amazing."
