Taeyang Impresses Fans and Tops iTunes Charts in 7 Countries With 'Ringa Linga'

Taeyang of Big Bang pre-released the music video “Ringa Linga,” part of his second studio album, at 21:00 (GMT+9) on November 9.

G-Dragon, his friend of thirteen years and who wrote the lyrics of this song, made a surprise appearance in the MV. Also, YG Entertainment’s brand-new boy group WINNER appeared at the end of the MV to give a dance show. “Ringa Linga” was originally meant to be released at midnight, but YG delayed the time to refine the MV and provide an even better video. Regardless, at the time the MV was supposed to come out, Taeyang’s name hit number one on search lists, while there were three search phrases related to him in the top ten.

The video stars Taeyang in glowing lights and neon contrasts, a feast for the eyes for all of his fans. Many of his fans are already commending him for this video and how different it is from his usual style. It's definitely out of the box and something that they would not mind seeing more of.

Currently, the new song is number one on Korean music charts, and also number one on the iTunes charts of seven countries. Taeyang is due to hold his comeback on the November 10th episode of Inkigayo.
