When the iPhone 5s release date was revealed, a lot of fans and consumers flocked to Apple stores just to get their hands on the new handset via several affordable contracts. More than two months after the release, Apple now offers its unlocked edition. 

According to a report from GSM Arena, the iPhone 5s unlocked edition will be available in several US carriers as well as the Apple store. When we say unlocked, it only means the phone will not be 'stuck' to just one carrier. A consumer who has an unlocked version of the iPhone 5s can insert and use any US-issued SIM card without any problems. 

The unlocked versions of the gray, gold, or silver color schemes of the iPhone 5s is available starting at $649 for the 16GB edition, while the 32GB variant would be available for $749. 

For consumers who are looking for massive storage capacity, the 64GB edition of the iPhone 5s will set them back at $849. 

The phone comes with a nano-SIM card slot where you can place any SIM card of your choice.
