How K-Pop Has Changed Over the Years

Anybody born here in the early 1900's?? If there are, do you remember how K-Pop was during that year, how the music was simple and did not have any exposure of skin and all the stars had to wear certain clothing and all due to the country not having democracy. Conformity was imperative and the music needed to be clean and PG-13 rated. That is what an article from "Harvard Crimson" wrote regarding about how K-Pop has changed over the years regarding about the generation of today who are the third generation; stars that are singing at the age of thirteen which is so young. The article is an interesting read about how K-Pop started and how it is no different to American music as well as explains the first thru third generation and their differences.

SISTAR's Hyorin is Planning for Great Collaborations

So SISTAR's Hyorin is coming out with her first studio album which will be titled, "Love & Hate" this month and news media "Popdust" explained about the great collaborations that she will work with. November 26th is the expected date on when Hyorin will release her album which she will compete with girl group 2NE1. November is looking to be fierce between this two.

Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) Expected to be Better with Numerous Stars

"MAMA" is this Friday in Hong Kong and it is expected to be better than last year. With all of the great Asian music artists and all, there will be great stars and entertainers from the around the world. News media "Popdust" explained some of the stars from the US who will attend which are Paris Hilton, Stevie Wonder, Yelvis, and more. Previous years, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Adam Lambert, and Black Eyed Peas attended the event. So be sure to tune-in as the event will be live online on the "M Countdown" website as another year of "MAMA" will happen this Friday!

Amber, the LA-Rising Star

f(x) member Amber was featured again on news media "LA Weekly" as the rising star of LA. The article explained about her rising career to fame as well as her tomboyish appearance. Amber is really famous in Los Angeles and one that is always getting noticed due to her styles.

K-Pop Stars Collaborate with International Singers

"The Wall Street Journal" featured an article regarding about the K-pop stars performing on-stage with international stars at the "2013 Mnet Asian Music Awards." From SISTAR's Hyorin performing with Stevie Wonder and Crayon Pop with Ylvis, the event will be remembered as K-pop and American singers performing together. Great year though!

What Will Big Bang Do in the Coming Months?

"The Wall Street Journal" caught up with Big Bang to do a little interview on what plans they have next in the coming months. The guys responded that tours might occur as well as more collaborations with US singers for Taeyang and G-Dragon. Other questions include what music other than Korean the members listen to. Taeyang said "Kanye West, Drake, The Weekend, Miguel, and M.I.A." As for Seungri, he said, "Robin Thicke." Looks like the Big Bang members listen to all kinds of music. Great to know that they are open to everything.

Davichi Reigns Number One This Week

News media "Popdust" featured an article regarding about which K-Pop star is number one this week. The artist is Davichi for their song, "Letter." The article explained that they are "number one" on the "Gaon Chart." Congratulations to the ladies for being number one! The article also explained that Miss A's song "Hush" is at "number five." So, great job this week to them as well. We shall see if they will be able to knock-off Davichi next week.

Davichi is Number One on the K-pop Hot 100!

News media "Billboard" explained that duo Davichi has reached the top "K-Pop Hot 100" by being number one!!! Woohoo!! This is such a huge accomplishment for the ladies. They reached number one for their song "Letter" which the songwriter is Jeon Hae-sung. Congratulations to the ladies!
