Guardians of the Galaxy movie cast Zoe Saldana has been on tour to promote her new movie "Out of the Furnace."  Being cast in a Marvel cinematic universe movie it would be impossible not to get flooded with queries about the project.

When Guardians of the Galaxy movie cast, Saldana was asked about the second Marvel flick for 2014, "Guardians of the Galaxy," by IGN the Star Trek star answered the question with confidence and full of praises about the project.

"These characters are absolutely amazing and they have a full blown redemption. So to be able to sink your teeth into such meaty characters and to be a part of such a story that is very unique and obviously has everything that I love: it has space, it has a cooky director, it literally has just cojones."

The 35-year old Guardians of the Galaxy movie cast did not only praise the movie and the characters in it she also has nothing but praises for the film's director.

"I never like to shoot myself in the foot to seem that confident that I may come across as arrogant, but I'm rooting for it, a great deal because it was amazing," she claimed. "What we shot and we left on the screen there were pretty amazing things and I have a feeling that James [Gunn, the director] is going to capture them very beautifully. I'm happy to have worked with someone like James, because not everyday do you meet somebody that is absolutely who they are and you cannot compare them to anybody else. There's only going to be one James Gunn and I like that."

Guardians of the Galaxy movie cast was shown at the end of Marvel's "Thor 2: The Dark World' movie, the setting takes place in the same world as "The Avengers" and the rest of the Marvel cinematic universe. Then again, the movie will take place in the future, where the people have gained control over the ability to travel through space.

Guardians of the Galaxy movie cast, Zoe Saldana will be playing the role of Gamora, the daughter of the villain Thanos in the comics, also the last of her kind. She has superhuman strength, quick and can easily be healed.

The movie is scheduled for release in 2014. This is the last installment for the phase 2 of Marvel's films before the release of Joss Whedon's "The Avengers" sequel.
