But no one can forget the short but sweet stint Nina Dobrev and Derek Hough had a few months ago. So why isn't Nina's ex boyfriend in any of her Instagram photos?

The "Vampire Diaries" actress also posted a photo of a plate full of Thanksgiving dishes, with the caption: "Mmmmnmmm. #thanksgivingWEEK #houghs #smilingfaces #appreciation"

Nina posted another photo with the hashtag "#houghs," suggesting that she's definitely at the home of the Houghs for Thanksgiving. We're wondering why she isn't posting photos of her ex boyfriend Derek. We can't imagine they're on bad terms, despite their dating history that lasted a few weeks. According to Wetpaint, Nina and Derek are still friendly and responsive to each other on their social media accounts.

Perhaps Nina is avoiding posting photos with Derek because she doesn't want to start rumors that they're back together.

We're just happy Nina is so good at staying on good terms with her ex boyfriends; she works every day with her ex boyfriend of three years, Ian Somerhalder, and hangs out with him regularly.
