Although fans still have several months to go before "How to Train Your Dragon 2" comes out, a series of updates have surfaced regarding the upcoming DreamWorks sequel, including the plot, poster, teaser trailer, and more!

"How to Train Your Dragon 2" has an interesting plot which jumps the story of Hiccup and Toothless five years after the events of "How to Train Your Dragon."

"It's been five years since Hiccup and Toothless successfully united dragons and Vikings on the island of Berk. While Astrid, Snoutlout and the rest of the gang are challenging each other to dragon races (the island's new favorite contact sport), the now inseparable pair journey through the skies, charting unmapped territories and exploring new worlds," says the 20th Century Fox description.

"When one of their adventures leads to the discovery of a secret ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider, the two friends find themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace. Now, Hiccup and Toothless must unite to stand up for what they believe while recognizing that only together do they have the power to change the future of both men and dragons."

In addition, there is a teaser trailer for the sequel, which showcases a dynamic aerial sequence between Toothless and Hiccup.

Most recently, a poster for the film has been released, showcasing a much grown up Hiccup in battle Viking gear, hinting at the more mature tone for the sequel.

The release date for "How to Train Your Dragon 2" in the U.S. is June 13, 2014, and the release dates for the rest of the major countries vary anywhere between June 12 to July 31.
