Metal Gear Solid 5 Release Date Version Has ‘Franchise Inconsistencies?’ Creator Admits Difficulties In Writing Something That Was ‘Supposed To Be In The Middle’

Metal Gear Solid 5's release date version will have "franchise inconsistencies," series creator Hideo Kojima revealed in a recent interview.

"When you try to write something that was supposed to be in the middle there will be some inconsistencies when you go into very small details," Kojima said in an interview, according to Gamerant.com.

"The most important part is writing something that is fun, something that is impressive, something that is better than it was before. So sometimes in the interest of doing this, of having a better experience, we sacrifice some consistencies in the story."

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes for the Playstation 4 will also include exclusive content from the original game, Kojima also revealed.

"In the Déjà Vu mission, players will be able to play as 'Classic Snake,' a low-polygon version of the character that's reminiscent of the original PlayStation Metal Gear Solid, as he sneaks through a low-polygon version of the game populated with low-polygon enemies," Polygon.com writes.

"In a trailer, it appears that Classic Snake executes a mission in a level that blends the two games, seemingly a rescue mission that involved Donald Anderson from Metal Gear Solid."

Microsoft announced on Friday that it will produce exclusive content on the Xbox One for Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, leaving many gamers which new features the next-generation console version will include.

The announcement was made during Spike TV's live broadcast of the event, held in Times Square's Best Buy Theater, Polygon.com writes.
