World K-pop Highlight: Super Junior’s 'SUPERSHOW' Bridges the Gap in Hallyu

The world concert series of the famous SM Entertainment male group, Super Junior has been happening for almost five years now.

The first ever Super Show was held in Asia in 2008. The boys mainly concentrated in the three countries wherein they had a lot of fans which were in China, Thailand and South Korea. In their visits in China and Thailand, they already have drawn thousands of fans, therefore made them repeat the show in a different city of the said countries in 2009.

In 2009 - 2010, Super Junior made a follow up world tour again in Asia, calling it "Super Show 2," in which they toured 15 cities including Manila, Philippines, Taipei, Taiwan and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Making them prove that their fan world was rapidly increasing in Asia.

But the boys did not stop the 2nd time of Super Show, thus held the 3rd one, visiting the same countries in 2011 but adding Vietnam to the countries that had experienced the 2nd. While in Super Show 4, the boys concentrated more on the cities of Japan and flew to a different continent, wherein they had their first European concert in Paris, France, showing that Super Junior was not just a hit in Asia but also in the land of the great potential.

This year, the boys again roamed the world adding South America to their list of their 5th sequel of Super Show. And because the boys have been in demand, Super Junior has been adding cities in which they showcase their performance as months of 2013 go by, which included London and Mexico.

Super Junior has been a key of the K-pop fans that have been experiencing a thirst in Hallyu. Though the group has been busy with the members' respective schedules and even if other members have been unavailable, they make it a point to bring Hallyu in all four corners of the world.

There is no doubt that Super Junior has been spreading the Hallyu wave, conquering countries in months and gathering thousands of fans, which made them a significant representatives of the Hallyu wave and has been a concrete example to other idol groups, who are now in demand all over the world.
