Gran Turismo 7 Release Date For PS4 Set For 2014; GT6 Arriving To PS3 This December 6 Featuring MicroTransactions

Polyphony recently shared more details about Gran Turismo 7 release date.

Those who are excited with the Gran Turismo 7 release date should be delighted to know that the game is about to arrive next year.

In September, Yamauchi commented that Gran Turismo 7 release date would happen in a year or two. And most recently, a more specific Gran Turismo 7 release date was revealed.

The latest details that the next-gen game is already in the works, particularly about Turismo 7 release date were unleashed to Top Gear by Kazunori Yamauchi from Polyphony Digital, according to a post on Gameranx.

Reportedly, Gran Turismo 7 release date is set for as early as 2014 on the PlayStation 4.

Yamauchi told, "We don't want to take too long on Gran Turismo 7. Best-case scenario? Next year."

He further continued, "In GT6 we really had to tune the software 100 per cent to maximise the PS3's architecture, but of course the PS4's hardware is much better, so I think the overall quality of the game across the board will be boosted when you come to play it."

Meanwhile, Gran Turismo 6 is already in the horizon as it is about to arrive on December 6 worldwide. Accordingly, this will be the first GT title to have microtransactions. According to Sony, the PlayStation 3 exclusive game, GT6, will have "in-game credits" system, one which will allow players to buy cars and parts.

Moreover, gamers can already preorder Gran Turismo 6, as announced by Sony. They can choose from the Standard Edition and the Special Edition, which are both available digitally. This also makes "Gran Turismo 6 the first flagship GT game to be released as a download," as posted on Trusted Reviews.

Currently, GT5, released in 2010 is the only game available for the PS3.

Expect more Gran Turismo 7 release date news to pop up in the coming months.
