Will Ferrell Hosted North Dakota News As Ron Burgundy For Anchorman 2 Movie Release, Flirts With Co-Anchor In KXMB Evening News [VIDEO]

Will Ferrell appeared in the KXMB evening news in North Dakota as Ron Burgundy where he co-anchored the news show for the entire night bringing real news and adding the usual Anchorman 2 movie one-liners while reporting just in time for the movie’s release this December.

The movie character kept a straight face and was in character the whole news show, which lasted for almost an hour keeping a straight face, while his co-anchors and newsreaders couldn’t hold their laugh for almost the entire show.

"The second he said, 'Good evening, I'm Ron Burgundy,' I lost it," Amber Schatz, the newsreader for the KXMB evening news said in an interview Sunday. "It was really hard not to laugh."

Ron Burgundy was also seen clowning during the duration of the show popping in to the frame of Schatz while she delivered the news.

He even tried to flirt with her asking "Amber, you look lovely tonight" before asking her if she was married. When his co-reporter Schatz told him she wasn't married, Burgundy replied, "Well I am, so don't get any ideas."

By the end of the news show, the co-anchors gave him a gift distracting Ron Burgundy from delivering his “stay classy” line at the end of the show, which looked to be a joke. He instead finished the show with the lines “Oh, what? Am I supposed to read that?”

The Anchorman 2 movie is set for a December 18 release after being announced just before Thanksgiving Day.

Anchorman 2 movie release was originally set for December 20 but the production and the whole team of the movie excited everyone for their surprise of a two-day early release.
