The highly stylized movie 'Sin City' was based on a graphic novel. The sequel, also to be directed by Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller has a subtitle 'A dame to kill for.' The search for an actress to fit that description ended with Eva Green.

Eva Green is French actress and she is also a former Bond girl in Casino Royale. She was also in various projects like the 300 Sequel and Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp.

From co-directors Miller and Rodriguez: "We've been wanting to tell this story for a very long time. Ava Lord is one of the most deadly and fascinating residents of Sin City. From the start, we knew that the actor would need to be able to embody the multifaceted characteristics of this femme fatale and we found that in Eva Green. The movie will feature a grand all star cast like the first edition. Some of the stars lined up for the sequel are Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba returning from the original and new additions Juno Temple and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Gordon-Levitt, fresh from the mainstream run of his directorial debut, "Don Jon" is stepping into A-list territory. Yet, he is still overwhelmed by his co-stars. He is also in awe of the cavalier process of his directors.

"It's interesting. They wanted to have a movie where fans of the books would still be able to look forward to something new and unexpected, so they added a story. I remember being really intrigued by that and I was really looking forward to, 'Oh that will be so interesting to have the actual comics to refer to as an actor' but no I didn't... I had a ball doing that, I loved doing that. I mean, Robert Rodriguez is a guy whose movies I've liked for a long time and he has creativity pouring out of him. Sin City is due for an August 22, 2014 release.
