Star Trek 3 is being highly anticipated mostly by fans of "Star Trek Into Darkness" and one of its actors Simon Pegg recently slips out some revealing information about the movie.

He kind of hinted that Star Trek 3 could be filming in UK and that Joe Cornish could join the movie as a director.

"I spoke with Joe the other night about it, but I am not sure what kind of ... trouble is, these days things just kinda get out. There's no time for discussion or rumination because they get out into the open and suddenly are reported as fact. When back in the day before the Internet and people telling everyone everything, you would actually have the space," Pegg said about Cornish being rumored as a director for the Star Trek 3, during his interview with BBC America.

Pegg added, "I don't think casting news should really be released until they are official, and certainly nothing in terms of directorial choices for Star Trek should be released until someone signs on the dotted line."

"I love that Joe is being considered. I like the idea of him doing it. I think he would be great. He's an incredibly intelligent guy and a wonderful film maker. But whether or not he does it is up to a billion different factors ... maybe not a billion, like a thousand," as he concluded his statement about Cornish rumors.

In addition, the "Star Trek Into Darkness" have dished a possible production location of Star Trek sequel during his interview with BBC when he was talking about his return for the "Mission: Impossible 5"

"I know for a fact that 'Mission [Impossible 5]' is shooting here in the UK," he said. "There's a lot of big productions in the UK next year - 'Star Wars', 'The Avengers', 'Mission'. I think maybe even 'Star Trek 3', there's talk of it shooting here... so there won't be any crews for small films!"

Although no confirmation or denial has been made by Cornish or the creators of Star Trek the possibility of the movie shooting in UK will bring a completely new aspect to the franchise since its prequels were shot around Los Angeles only.
