The 8-8 Grizzlies vs 9-8 Phoenix Suns game takes place in Memphis in a game pitting two teams that are having seasons nobody expected. A legit team to compete for the NBA title, the Grizzlies are struggling out the gate as they are without Marc Gasol for at least a month.

The Grizzlies have lost three of their last four games, including an 11-point loss vs the Nets on Saturday They're allowing opponents to shoot 51.0 percent in the first quarter of home games, which is where their last four losses have taken place.

"It's very frustrating," Memphis point guard Mike Conley, who had 16 points and 10 assists against the Nets for his second double-double this season, told ESPN.com."We're a great home team. We've always been a great home team. Our fans are great and they deserve better. We have to come ready to play from the first quarter with more energy."

After winning two straight, Phoenix lost the back end of a home and home vs the Utah Jazz on Saturday. Phoenix has yet to win more than two games in a row, so they continue to hover around the .500 mark.

"Our guys thought they could just show up tonight and win the game and in this game it doesn't happen that way, but they don't want to listen to it," coach Jeff Hornacek said. "Coaches are telling them they have to be ready and that's what happens."

Eric Bledsoe will start alongside Goran Dragic, who had 24 points and nine assists Saturday, is scoring 20.8 points per game with 9.7 assists in his last six contests.
