Scarlett Johansson revealed her most integral beauty secret, and we're thinking it's the reason why Scarlett Johansson always looks so hot!

The 29-year-old actress revealed that she has a high-maintenance beauty routine, but only because she takes long showers every day.

When asked by Contactmusic what she would do if she had to leave the house in under five minutes, Scarlett Johansson dramatically said she "would die."

Scarlett replied: ''Five minutes only? Wow. I think first of all... I would die! But I'd jump into the shower, dry myself, put on concealer, a bit of mascara and to give my skin a healthy glow I'd put on some bronzer.''

The reason Scarlett said she needs so much time to get ready is because she prefers to spend more time under the shower, scrubbing her skin, Contactmusic reports.

Scarlett quipped: ''[I always] shower! I use a loofah because I like to exfoliate my skin daily. It's an integral part of my routine. I think it's important to cleanse your body and rid yourself of dead skin every day.''

Johansson was the first to be named Esquire magazine's sexiest woman alive twice, in 2006 and this year, 2013.

And what's the one beauty product Scarlett Johansson prefers to make her feel hot?

She said in an interview with France's Glamour magazine: ''Even if I'm not dependant on one product, I would actually find it hard to go without a tube of red lipstick. It's my must-have.''

Meanwhile, Scarlett stars opposite Joaquin Phoenix in Spike Jonze's new film "Her," but don't expect to see this hot actress on screen - Scarlett plays an operating system, so only her voice is featured in the movie. The film opens in theaters Dec. 18.
