New Windows 8 Tablets 2014: Acer Joins The Party As It Announces 21.5" Slate, Packs Quad-Core CPU, 4GB Of RAM, 750GB Hard Drive
PC maker Acer has recently announced one of the new Windows 8 tablets for 2014 before the year officially ends. Dubbed as the Acer Aspire Z3-600, the slate offers powerful specifications, a sleek design, and a great PC alternative.
Recently, Acer has been producing Android-powered devices, particularly Chromebooks. That's why it is really a surprise that it has joined the Windows 8 bandwagon and is now offering the Aspire Z3-600.
However, this device is not your ordinary 'handy' tablet.
Packed with a 21.5" display with 1080p resolution, the Acer tablet has one of the most gorgeous screens in the Windows 8 family. It also runs on Intel Pentium J2580 quad-core processor, a sufficient 4GB of RAM, and 750GB of hard drive storage.
In the report by TechnoBuffalo, the Aspire Z3-600 also has two front-facing Harman Kardon speakers, but just 2.5 hours of battery, which means the device will be most-likely be used at home. Unless of course, a person would not mind carrying around that much weight.
Similar to the Surface 2, Acer's huge tablet also has a built-in kickstand, and in total costs $799.
Even if it was announced this week, the report says the device may hit stores as early as January next year.
