The 18-7-5 Ducks travel to Chicago vs the 20-6-4 Blackhawks in a battle of two of the top three teams in the Western Conference. Anaheim has lost two in row, but escaped the losses vs the Kings and Sharks with one point in each game. Chicago has dropped two in a row, including taken the lead in the third period last night, before allowing two late goals in what resulted in a 4-3 loss.

"Six minutes to go with a one-goal lead, generally that's our bread and butter. Tonight we didn't get it done," Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville told NHL.com. "We had the momentum, but it was one of those games where the momentum turned quickly in their favor. We're still tied. Let's get it to overtime and see what happens, but they got the break and we got nothing."

It was a one-goal loss against the Stars on Tuesday thanks to a third period goal allowed by the Blackhawks.

"Like the last game, we thought we had control and let it slip. It's frustrating to give up points like we have the last couple games," captain Jonathan Toews told ESPN.com. "It's pretty simple. We need to be better."

Corey Perry scored his third goal in as many contests and Ryan Getzlaf extended his point streak to 11 games, but they were among the nine Ducks players who failed to solve Martin Jones in the shootout.

"When you have the opportunity on your stick, whether you deserve to win the game or not, you've got to put it away," coach Bruce Boudreau said. "That killer instinct has been eluding us for a little bit now. We've got to find it somewhere."
