Jessica Simpson attended the WWD's Footwear News Achievement Awards in New York last Tuesday looking all glam and foxy.

The 33-year-old was wearing a floral dress with black side panels to give an illusion of a leaner waist, as pictured by DailyMail.

Jessica actually gave a tease of her thinner figure when she posted a photo on her Twitter account in November in support of her Weight Watchers advocacy.

The "Blonde Ambition" star struggled with her weight when she gave birth to two kids seven months apart. At one point, she was 70 pounds overweight.

In 2005, the country singer updated Nancy Sinatra's 1966 hit "These Boots Are Made for Walkin"for the soundtrack of the "Dukes of Hazzard." In order to appeal to a younger audience, she changed some of the lyrics to make it more sexual. She also infused some R&B flavor into the pop tune.  

The song peaked at number 14 on the US Billboard Hot 100. It also reached top 10 on the Pop 100 chart, the only single for Simpson to have done so.

While music and movies gave her fame, it is in fashion retail where she really made a mark. In fact, the Jessica Simpson Collection is projected to become the most successful celebrity-owned brand when it breaks the $1 billion annual sales target.

Her brand has become so successful that she could afford to forget her music career. The recording artist has not released a single since her Christmas album three years ago.

She married Nicholas Scott "Nick"Lachey, the lead singer of boy band 98 Degrees, in October 2002 and divorced him in June 2006.

Jessica Simpson is currently raising her two daughters with fiancé Eric Johnson, who played tight end for the San Francisco 49ers. They have been together for three years.
