A few days ago, it was Wonder Woman who will join the "Man of Steel" sequel. Right now, it's entitled "Batman Vs Superman." As the number of superheroes continue to rise, perhaps they should change the title.

Maybe they should change the title to "Justice League."

In the Variety report, it was also mentioned that the Flash will also join the movie although it has not been confirmed. There was also no 'casting call' which preceded the eventual announcement of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Not yet, at least.

Is DC moving too fast? Obviously they want to catch up to Marvel's success, and also to cash in on the current superhero craze. It is also Warner's intention not to follow the Marvel paradigm to the hilt. Instead of building up each of the character's solo movies first before assembling them together, they introduce them in the group first.

Or maybe they are not a group yet? It should be remembered that the parameters of a cinematic universe is much smaller than the comics. Even Batman and Superman cannot operate in completely separate cities anymore (hence Batman vs Superman). They are both limited in time and space.

It is quite risky. Having underdeveloped characters might fail to make a connection with the viewers. This is something that gave Marvel its confidence: prior to the "Avengers" movies, four of its characters (including the Hulk) had their own blockbuster movies already.

DC still has to work on the respective reboots, as they probably won't use the Green Lantern movie in any way. Introducing only the timeless and most popular heroes is their only insurance.

However, it will not stop them from introducing the other characters. Some observers mentioned that the STAR labs Easter egg in Man of Steel is a reference to Cyborg, one of the Teen Titans. Even the football game they shot may also hinto to Cyborg (as he was previously a football player).

There are more clues to this story, and until Warner Brothers either confirms or denies, we are free to speculate.
