Nexus 10 2 Release Date Delayed To 2014? Google Next-Gen 10-Inch Tablet Unlikely To Arrive In Time For Christmas?

Is Nexus 10 2 release date still happening this year or has it been delayed to 2014?

In the past few months, rumors about Nexus 10 2 release date had been very rife. However, all the alleged Nexus 10 2 release dates such as October 31, November 21 and 29 already passed and until now, the tablet is still nowhere to be seen in the market.

Google has not made any official announcements yet regarding Nexus 10 2 release or if there will actually be one, but tech fans are still interested to see the next-gen of Google's full-sized Android tablet. There are reports that are still suggesting that Nexus 10 2 release date may happen this year, in time for Christmas.

However, according to a post on Las Vegas Guardian Express, it is possible that Nexus 10 2 release date may be delayed. The post reads, "With Christmas just around the corner, it is unlikely that it will be released beforehand." The report further noted that it more likely that Nexus 10 2 release date will be set for 2014, if there will actually be one.

According to other Nexus 10 2 release date rumors, Google is planning to replace the 2nd generation tablet with a smaller slate, in the form of Nexus 8, since smaller tablets were found to be more successful in the market, and they run more efficiently using Android OS.

But if ever the Nexus 10 2 release date will still be happening in the coming months, the alleged specs of the upcoming Android tablet include 8 MP rear camera and 2.1 MP front camera. Furthermore, it is expected to run Android 4.4 KitKat firmware. The display will have a resolution of 2560 x 1600 with at least 2 GB RAM. It may also arrive with Snapdragon 800 processor from Qualcomm.
