4J Studios has previously announced that Minecraft PS3 release date will be set ahead of the launch of the TU14 patch for the Xbox 360 Edition of the game.

Those who are eagerly waiting for Minecraft PS3 release date should know that the highly-anticipated version of the game will arrive earlier than other upcoming patches and next-gen console editions. Last month, 4J Studios revealed that they are focusing first on porting the open-world sandbox game on the PlayStation 3.

Latest update abou Minecraft PS3 release date indicated that 4J Studios was busy preparing Minecraft so it "could be sent to Sony Computer Entertainment for testing," as posted on Examiner. Because of this, the release schedule for the TU14 patch and other forthcoming editions of the game were hold up.       

4J Studios told, "We're hard at work getting Minecraft: PS3 Edition ready for Sony test. The other platforms & TU14 will be later."    

However, 4J Studios has not provided yet a particular Minecraft PS3 release date, as well as the launch schedule for the PS4, Xbox One and PS Vita versions of the game.

As for more Minecraft news, PC games should be delighter to know that Minecraft PC update 1.7.3 is already coming this week, as posted on the official Mojang site. And one of the most significant changes Minecraft 1.7.3 update will bring in is the "added integrated Twitch broadcasting."

During Minecon 2013, Mojang announces partnership with Twitch to offer one-click streaming to the hit sandbox game.  Accordingly, based on the recent snapshots, the feature is already "very stable and ready to go live"
