Kobe Bryant Return: Los Angeles Lakers lost their first game after the return of Kobe Bryant

The game that garnered a lot of views and a much anticipated game to add, the Black Mamba, Kobe Bryant returned excites fans around the world to witness one of the best basketball players in the business to come back after suffering an Achilles injury early this year.

Though they lost in his return game 106-94 in their home court, Kobe Bryant still felt well but with expected game rust being out for a while.

''My rhythm is completely out of sync,'' Bryant said. ''But this is a start, and I guess a start is good.''

''You try to control it as much as you can, but you can't help thinking about the hard work,'' Bryant said. ''You try to put it to the side as much as possible and do your work. ... It makes you appreciate the game, this franchise and this city, and all we've been through.''

Losing to the hand of the Raptors, Toronto high flyer DeMar DeRozan was wowed by Kobe for his return though he may be rusty, he believes that the superstar will be back in shape soon.

''(Bryant) was a little rusty, and you could tell because a lot of his shots were short,'' said DeRozan. ''We were going against him his first game back, but he's going to get it going again and he'll be back to the old Kobe.''

Teammates of Bryant also expressed they're happy he's back but they can't expect the old Kobe just yet since he came from almost a career-ending injury.

''We're going to have to carry Kobe a little bit, because of course he's not 100 percent, not in game shape,'' said Xavier Henry, who scored 17 points in their last game. ''It's going to be fun. It's a long year, and he's just getting back.''

The Los Angeles Lakers before the Kobe Bryant return were on a .500 winning percentage and just got a loss against the Raptors. On his first game back they lost, but it's just the first game he's back. He may not be 100 percent yet but when he is, we'll find out if the Lakers can improve on their percentage.
