'Avengers Age Of Ultron' –Ant-Man Will Replace Iron Man? Secret Origin Of Ultron May Involve Reality Gem?

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has already broken comic book canon numerous times. This is not a new issue and the first movie seemed to satisfy the fanboys. However, in the sequel "Avengers: Age of Ultron," there is a serious dilemma as the creator of Ultron is not even introduced yet.

Ant Man, specifically his alter ego, Henry Pym, was one of the founding members of the Avengers in the comic book. He is also one of its most durable characters. Many loyal Avenger fans were disappointed when Henry Pym was not a part of the movie.

It has been confirmed, however, that there will be an Ant Man movie. Marvel actually moved up the release date. Is it a smart move to release another title in barely two months after its flagship movie,  not to mention a month after Warner Bros.' "Man Of Steel" Sequel?

On the contrary, Marvel wants The Avengers momentum to rub off on Ant Man. While previously an afterthought, Marvel is grooming Ant Man to be a central figure in the Cinematic Universe. At the same time, Robert Downey, Jr. Is uncertain of returning for another Iron Man movie.

When asked about Iron Man 4, Downey responded to Entertainment Weekly: . "I'd go start another one tomorrow, but it's not tomorrow. And there are a lot of other considerations. But I also don't like the idea of leaving people hanging or leaving people in the lurch."

The casting choices for Ant Man are Paul Rudd and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Both are A-listers with a strong comedic background, similar to Robert Downey Jr. Meanwhile, Kevin Feige has already discussed an 'evergreen' Iron Man, similar  to James Bond, being portrayed by different actors.

There are too many similarities between Ant Man and Iron Man. If both of them are on the same team, viewers might have a "tech overdose."

It should also be noted that Phase 3 of the Universe is about to kick off, and Marvel has only one direction for this-to the stars. The introduction of The Scarlet Witch (along with Quicksilver) opens the door to the cosmic/supernatural realm, and as teased in the "Thor: The Dark World" credits scene, the pursuit of the Infinity Gauntlet is the central conflict.

On the question of what would create Ultron and what would make him so powerful an adversary that the current Avengers would need additional members to battle him? How about the Reality Gem?

In the comics, The Scarlet Witch has a vague 'hex' power which allows her to 'manipulate reality.' Why is her inclusion so important at this time?

Countdown the days to May 2015!
