‘Fast And Furious 7’ Release Date Still Unannounced; Producers To Use Computer Imagery To Complete Film After Paul Walker’s Death?

When Paul Walker died, fans of the 'Fast and Furious' film franchise are left wondering about the producers' strategy on finishing the seventh movie. The death of Paul Walker took place in the middle of 'Fast and Furious 7's' filming.

According to CNN's report, one insider claims that the creators of the film are still looking forward to use the scenes that they have previously shot with Walker. Considering the amount that it entailed to produce such scenes, the team thought that it would be impractical to merely disregard those shots.

The insider claims that the editors are not stopping in reviewing the film's frames to check the ones which they can incorporate in the script that will certainly be revised. One technique which the producers are allegedly considering is the use of computer-generated imagery (CGI).

Prior to the 'Hours' actor's death, the producers were already rushing the filming of the street action racing movie.  Apart from unfinished scenes in Atlanta, the crew will likewise fly to Abu Dhabi.

When the car crash took place, the cast and crew of the film were on a Thanksgiving break. Little did they know that their lead actor would perish. The studio immediately released its statement regarding the accident:  "Right now, all of us at Universal are dedicated to providing support to Paul's immediate family and our extended 'Fast & Furious' family of cast, crew and filmmakers."

The 'Fast and Furious' franchise is one of the most profitable ventures of Universal Studios. Its most recent installment, the Fast 6, was even featured in the "Top 10 Box Office Hits of all Time' list. While Walker's death stalled shooting, reports claim that it is unlikely that Universal Studios will postpone the film's release this coming July 11, 2014.


The 40-year-old actor was killed along with his professional racer friend Roger Rodas when the Porsche Carrera GT being driven by Rodas slammed into a pole and a tree last November 30. In less than a minute, the car has been engulfed in flames which claimed the lives of the two.
