In addition to the numerous marketing strategies the makers of the Anchorman 2 movie, it was shown recently the real life news reporter that inspired creators of the movie make a Ron Burgundy Character.

The now 78-year-old retired newsman Mort Crim who also struggled working with a lady anchor during their time in the 70's, was the peg for Will Ferrell to get his bubbly character be entertaining for the movie.

Also, just like Burgundy's character in the first movie - not liking how the female anchor joined their news team, Will Ferrell was told by Crim that what they did almost the exact reaction in the part one of the film. Will Ferrell said in an interview with New York Times, "He [Crim] literally said the line: 'You have to remember, back then I was a real male chauvinist pig. I was not nice to her,'".

In relation to the Anchorman 2 movie, it was announced last week that there will be Supertickets available through Fandango wherein the movie will be shown in different AMC theaters across the country including: New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Denver, San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose and Washington, D.C.

Ron Burgundy joked in a special promotional video of the tickets that beside the exclusive movie passes, buyers' wives will have a night with the reporter himself which was instantly denied by a on screen director that it wasn't included in the promo.

"Well, that's unfortunate for all parties involved," Burgundy says. "I'm sorry, America, I will not be making sweet love to your wife, but you'll get all that other Anchorman stuff. I will still make love to your wife, but not as part of this promotional package. It will be a personal gift from me, Ron Burgundy, and clearly not endorsed by anybody here."
